Targus Validates DisplayLink v.1.3.54 for Ubuntu Linux

The v.1.3.54 release has been prepared to be compatible with Ubuntu 14.04.x LTS and 16.04 LTS. DisplayLink Releases v.4.0.0 for OS X and macOS High Sierra

DisplayLink has released v.4.0.0 for OS X and macOS.  Targus is recommending all MacBook users update to this version.  This version is necessary for High Sierra and appears to work back to OS X 10.11.6.   General Limitations: Clamshell mode (built-in screen off while the lid is closed) requires a monitor to be connected to the Mac’s built-in video output even if other DisplayLink screens are available. DisplayLink Releases v.8.3M0 for Windows

DisplayLink announced v.8.3M0 is now available.  Using this version of the software should work, but Targus has no plans to validate this release with Targus Universal Docking Stations or Targus UDS Utilities.  This release has not been submitted for distribution on Windows Update for Targus Universal Docking Stations and Targus is not providing .MSI/.INF files for it. FIXED: Windows Update Appears to Cause DisplayLink 8.2M2 Installation Issues

Targus and many of its customers had observed an issue with Windows PC with Windows Update for DisplayLink v.8.2M2 that may cause the update not to install properly, even if using the .EXE, .MSI, or .INF files from Targus.com or DisplayLink. The DocKtors have validated the latest release version 8.2M2 (including Targus Universal Docking Station device drivers) for all DisplayLink-based Targus Universal Docking Stations on all version of Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 through Creators Update (RS2) build 14393.
